Confucius believed in, “The noble person is concerned with rightness, and the small person is concerned with profit” (Berger et al., 2016). The Analects unfolds Confucius not only as a noble man but a man with sheer capability in archery and horsemanship whereas Han Fei’s ideas state that political situation should change with the circumstances. Confucius ideas to cling onto the past are deserted by him as his idea reveals that situation may be complicated with the huge rise in population (Finucane, 2020).
